Why you’ll like this: lenders in our network compete for your application - competition gets you a better rate than taking the first offer you see.

What lenders typically offer

For August 2026 this page carries a single path: USARateHub’s own rate-check form. It is free, takes about two minutes, costs $0 and commits you to nothing - lenders in our network then compete on your actual profile, which is how you get a better rate than any single first offer.

Published market ranges as last reviewed 13 May 2026. Your rate depends on your profile.

The table shows published market ranges for orientation only. None of these lenders is available through this page and the figures are not offers we can make - they are what the wider market publishes, so you can judge the rate you are quoted against it. To see where you actually stand, use the rate check above.

APR ranges shown are illustrative. Your actual APR depends on credit profile, loan term, and lender criteria. Pre-qualification does not affect your credit.

How we ranked these

There is no ranking on this page: the personal-loans wall currently carries no partner offers, so the only path we list is our own rate-check form. The market table above is built from published APR ranges, minimum credit requirements, loan amount ranges and fee policies for six widely known lenders, as last reviewed on 13 May 2026 - orientation figures, not offers. Compensation from partners affects which lenders appear on USARateHub and can affect order when offers are live; it plays no part in the table above. Rates shown are ranges, not offers - your figure depends on your credit profile, the amount and the term you choose. Full detail in our editorial policy.

What borrowers ask

Does checking my rate affect my credit score?

No. Pre-qualification uses a soft inquiry, which is visible only to you and does not touch your score. A hard inquiry happens only if you go on to submit a full application with a lender and accept an offer - by then you already know roughly where you stand.

What credit score do I need for a personal loan?

There is no single bar. Among the lenders in the market table above, published minimums run from 580 to 680 - but a minimum only gets you considered. The rate you are actually quoted depends on your whole profile: income, existing debt and repayment history, not the score alone.

What can I use a personal loan for?

Most personal loans are general purpose: debt consolidation, home projects, medical bills, large one-off expenses. Common exclusions are post-secondary education costs, business use and property down payments - each lender publishes its own list, so read it before you apply.

Why are the APR ranges so wide?

Because lenders price by risk. Published ranges in the table above run from 7.49% at the bottom to 35.99% at the top, and the low end goes to the strongest profiles on the shortest terms. That spread is exactly why letting lenders compete for you beats accepting the first quote.
