Why you’ll like this: lenders in our network compete for your application - and competition between lenders gets you a better rate than the first offer you would take alone.

What lenders typically offer

For August 2026 there is one path on this page: USARateHub’s own rate check. It is free, takes about two minutes and carries no commitment - lenders in our network return real offers you can accept or ignore. The table below shows what the wider market typically charges, for context.

Published market ranges, last checked 25 May 2026. Your rate depends on your profile.

These are published market ranges collected for orientation - what these lenders publish across the market as a whole, not offers available through this page. Where a lender does not publish a figure, the row says so. Use the ranges to sanity-check any quote you receive, wherever you apply.

How we ranked these

We compared published APR ranges, stated loan amounts and product focus across the six lenders in our short-term loan data set, last checked 25 May 2026. None of the six currently has an approved offer link, so none is ranked or linked on this page - the only application path here is USARateHub’s own rate-check form. When live offers return, compensation from partners will affect which lenders appear and can affect order; it never affects the published ranges shown above. Full detail in our editorial policy.

What borrowers ask

What actually counts as a short-term loan?

Any loan built to be repaid in weeks or months rather than years - small installment loans, paycheck advances and short lines of credit all qualify. Because the window is short, the fee or rate compounds over very little time, so the dollar amount you repay matters more than the headline figure.

Will a short-term loan affect my credit score?

Checking your rate through a soft-pull pre-qualification does not touch your score; a hard inquiry happens only when you complete a full application. After that it depends on the lender: some report your repayment to the credit bureaus, which means on-time payments can build history and missed ones damage it. If building credit matters to you, ask before you sign.

How fast will the money arrive?

Many short-term lenders fund approved applications by the next business day. The exact timing depends on when you apply, how quickly your details are verified and how your bank handles incoming transfers - so a loan approved late on a Friday may not land until the following week.

What should I compare besides the APR?

Total repayment in dollars, first. Then fees, whether there is a penalty for paying the loan off early, whether the lender reports payments to the credit bureaus, and what happens if a payment fails. On short timelines a low rate with rigid terms can cost more than a higher rate you can exit early.
