Who we are
USARateHub is published by the USARateHub Editorial Team, a small group of writers and researchers who cover U.S. consumer finance: personal loans, short-term credit, mortgages, credit cards, insurance and savings accounts. We write for people making real borrowing decisions, often under time pressure, which is why every page tries to answer the practical question first - what will this cost, who is likely to qualify, and what is the catch - before anything else.
We are a marketing, comparison and referral service. We are not a lender and we never make credit decisions, set rates, or handle loan money. When you submit a loan request through this site, it is routed to a network of participating lenders, and any offer you receive comes directly from a lender under that lender's own terms.
How we make money - in plain English
Lenders and lender networks pay us when we refer a borrower to them. Depending on the partner, that payment may be for a completed loan request (a "lead"), a click, or a funded loan. This is the site's main source of revenue, and it is why the loan request forms here are free for you to use.
Three things follow from that, and we want them on the record:
- You never pay us. Our compensation comes from partners, and it does not change the rate or terms a lender offers you.
- Compensation can affect placement. Which partners appear on the site, and in what order, can be influenced by what they pay. We disclose this on every page footer and in our Advertising Disclosure.
- We do not cover the whole market. We only show offers from partners we work with. A better deal for your situation may exist somewhere we do not list.
How we rank offers
Editorial rankings - the order of products in our "best of" tables - are built from published APR ranges, fees, loan amounts, funding speed, eligibility breadth, and the clarity of each partner's own disclosures. Payment from a partner can affect whether they appear at all, but it does not buy a better editorial rating. The full methodology lives on our How we rank page, and our sourcing and correction rules live in the Editorial policy.
What we will not do
- We will not claim or imply "guaranteed approval" - no legitimate lender can promise that, and neither can we.
- We will not invent statistics or quote rates as promises. Every figure we publish is a typical published range or a worked example, labeled as such.
- We will not soften the cost of short-term credit. It is expensive, and our pages say so.

USARateHub is a loan-request and rate-comparison service, not a lender, and does not make credit decisions. APRs, fees and terms are set by each lender and vary by product, state and creditworthiness. Figures on this page are typical published ranges and illustrative examples, not offers or promises. Short-term credit is costly and not a long-term solution. Service is not available in every state. See the Lending Policy, Rates & Fees and Disclaimer.
